Opening Lecture and Welcome Reception at Museum of Anthropology – May 12
Join us at the stunning Museum of Anthropology at University of British Columbia, renowned for its displays of world arts and cultures, in particular First Nations works.
The Opening Lecture “A Rare Book Collector`s Light Hearted History of Thermodynamics” (Gregory Girolami) will take place in the Great Hall, surrounded by soaring First Nations totem poles.
Afterwards, explore the over 40,000 artifacts at your leisure or on a private tour, as the Museum and its sculptured grounds are reserved exclusively for you! There will be scrumptious food and beverage served, and lots of time to mingle.
Vancouver Excursion - May 14
Board your private coach at the University of British Columbia, then relax as you pass through some of the vibrant neighbourhoods of Vancouver. You will then board the M.V. Britannia in beautiful Coal Harbour. You will set out for a three hour sunset dinner cruise, and enjoy the Vancouver skyline from the water. At the end of the evening, the coach will return you to UBC.
PPEPPD Conference Dinner - May 15
For the final evening, the PPEPPD Conference Dinner is held in the Robert H. Lee Alumni Centre. Located in the heart of campus, it is a beautiful venue for this final dinner, where you can enjoy a wonderful meal, mingle with friends, then dance the night away!
